About the Artist
Caroline Robertson is a Canadian visual artist based in the Ottawa Valley, working primarily in oil paint. Her paintings are known for repeating eye motifs, bold geometric forms, and vibrant colour that feels playful at first glance but carries a deeper pulse. They explore themes of protection, surveillance, and the strange psychology of modern life, the feeling of being watched by technology, memory, or something gentler. In her work, the “watchers” are not only observers. They are guardians. Witnesses. Higher beings with a sense of humour.
Caroline’s love of bright, bold colour is intentional. She paints luminous patterns and watchful eyes as a way of pushing joy and warmth back into a world that can often feel grey and flattened by sameness. Her canvases are meant to spark delight first, then invite reflection. Caroline hopes to expand her practice into packaging design collaborations that bring her artwork into everyday objects and spaces.
Each piece is meant to feel like a companion, a quiet presence in a room that reminds you that you are seen, protected, and never entirely alone.
